OUR PASTOR

I was born in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1972 at Carswell Air Force Base where my father was stationed in the US Air Force. Raised in a Christian home with two other siblings, I grew up under the teachings and belief in the gospel of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.  At an early age I was baptized at Concord Baptist Church, Dallas, TX, under the leadership of the late Dr. E.K. Bailey.  During my early years, I worked in the youth ministry, sang in the choir and directed my first youth choir at the age of eight.

I began to recognize there was a greater call on my life, but being a PK, I fought the responsibility, choosing to use Music as the medium to teach and evangelize. However, in spite of my reluctance, God kept moving me more and more toward Preaching. This was yet another step in my development because it led me into a deeper awareness and love for prayer. It has become an avenue that would lead me to my now submitted call as Shepherd/Pastor

Each of my experiences broadened my ministry, organization and leadership skills, and to yet another level in God. The more I grew, the more God put unrest in his heart for the Christian community.  I began to strongly feel there was a need to return back to the basics of God’s Word and to God’s true plan for His Church.

OUR CHURCH

Core Values:  “Without Holiness no man can see the Lord”.  I believe the whole bible was given by inspiration from God, useful to teach what is true, and also, that Christianity is a lifestyle of holiness that can only come from practicing God’s truth.  The Word of God is the medium from which to teach, train and lead people from membership to discipleship.

Ministry Objectives:  Making disciples is essential to carrying out the Great Commission.  But Jesus did not begin reaching the world with perfect people; He began with ordinary, imperfect people who had problems.  Many people claim to be Christians today, but the church is experiencing a period of unrest, falling away and corruption. We have the task of carrying out the Great Commission in the midst of this unrest, much like Jesus did in His day.  In so doing, I believe we must return to the principles and teachings of the Early Church, where the leadership taught and lived by standards based on God’s Word.

Statistics & Goals:  Discipleship and Growth through biblical foundation.  The foundation for spiritual growth is in understanding the Word of God.  True faith must be based on scriptural facts found in the Word of God. But the Christian life involves more than believing, it also involves belonging.  Through evangelism, prayer, teaching and fellowship commission of the church is to reach out into the community to draw men, women, boys and girls into the family of God to help them learn how to build deeper, satisfying and more meaningful lives.
